How does OVR Jump work?
OVR Jump uses a laser technology to instantly sense when an athlete is on or off the ground. This allows it to measure key metrics about an athletes jumping and reactive strength.
How does it compare to jump mats?
OVR Jump has some key advantages over jump mats:
- Weight: Just 1.6 pounds compared to around 40 pounds
- Jumping Area: Ability to tether multiple bars together for massive jumping zones
- Display: The device has an onboard display that instantly updates – app is not required
- Jumping Surface: Jump on essentially any surface, and don't be limited to the mat
- Affordability: Without the need for a large rubber mat, we pass the savings onto you
Is OVR Jump Accurate?
With proper use, OVR Jump is very consistent at measuring jump height, RSI, and GCT. An athletes position is measured 1000 times per second to ensure precise measurements.
Without the pressure thresholds that can be present on jump mats, you'll get reliable readings each and every jump!
Does it need to be reset in between jumps or athletes?
No! There is not resetting needed when changing between athletes or in between jumps. Once one athlete walks out, the next can step up and jump immediately with no additional steps.
Does the device have metric units?
Yes, all OVR devices have imperial and metric readings.
How does the rest timer work?
The rest timer will reset after every jump, giving you your current rest time to the second. When on, it will appear at the top of the device display.
Is it durable?
Both bars are made of anodized aluminum to protect the device from damage.
What surfaces does it work on?
OVR Jump works on essentially any surface. As long as the lasers have a clear path from the sender to receiver (1/2" off the ground), you are good to go. Sunlight will not affect the lasers.
