Spotlight: Mosess Menendez

Mosess Menendez owns a gym in New Jersey and runs the TPC Strength System, coaching youth to college athletes (primarily baseball) while also serving as a D3 baseball S&C coach. He uses OVR Jump and OVR Velocity because they're easy to set up, travel with, and affordable for both his private gym and low-budget college environments. The devices have created a competitive culture in his gym through data tracking, and he uses them to monitor athletes recovering from injuries, with 95 college-committed athletes having trained at his facility since 2020.

Who

My name is Mosess Menendez. I’m a Certified Westside Barbell Coach & Strength Sports Performance Coach (SSPC). I own a Gym in New Jersey and my program TPC Strength System where I coach youth athletes from Middle School to College (majority being Baseball with a few professional athletes). I’m also a D3 baseball S&C coach. After graduating High school in 2008 I would walk on to play professional baseball for a short period of time but had a career ending injury in February 2014, then moving into competitive powerlifting. After Pro baseball I also worked part time as a coach until 2019 where I decided to go full time and created the TPC Strength System. Since opening my gym full-time in 2020 I have had 95 college committed athletes through my doors.

Products

OVR Jump, OVR Velocity

Why OVR?

I choose OVR because whether I’m in my private sector gym or in a low budget D3 weight room, it’s easy to set up, travel with and show my athletes data. It’s also very affordable.

Results

After getting my OVR devices set up and having data to show parents and athletes it has the culture of the gym my competitive. I also use my OVR devices set up for athletes coming off of an injury and it’s a great way to track their progress.

Pro Tips

Always track each athlete and show them weekly to help build that fire in the athlete to come in wanting to improve. Use the data from OVR and set up a leaderboard
