Sammy Sebok owns Iron Saints Athletic Systems, training a range of athletes and powerlifters. He uses OVR Jump, OVR Velocity, and OVR Sprint across his facility. Sammy values that OVR products are designed for real-world use at an affordable cost, allowing smaller facilities to access technology typically reserved for major universities.
Who
My name is Sammy Sebok. I own Iron Saints Athletic Systems. We train athletes from age 10 to college (some aspiring professionals as well) to improve their strength and athleticism. I also train powerlifters, holding an elite total in the single ply division for the 275 and 308 weight classes, and am a hall of fame and overall athlete of the year award winner for the Natural Athlete Strength Association
Products
OVR Jump, OVR Velocity, OVR Sprint
Why OVR?
OVR products work exactly like I wish previous technologies did. You can tell they are made by someone who understands what it’s like to use these products in real life settings. They also do it at a much more affordable cost allowing smaller/private businesses to have all the advantages of large universities
Results
OVR devices has helped us be a more efficient facility as we can provide more devices for whatever our athletes are doing that day affordably. Being able to use multiple jumps connected together has vastly improved how effective our hurdle hop and other plyometric work is by seeing ground contact times as well as being a major upgrade with approach verticals allowing for a larger space to take off and land. The versatility of the sprint timing gates also allows us to get through first day and team analysis much faster
Pro Tips
2 jumps tethered together is so much more effective for RSI work and approach jumps.
If doing hurdle hops for ground contact time make sure to slightly offset the long jump receiver more to one side to make sure the athlete doesn’t miss the field. If your athlete can do hurdles a considerable distance apart make sure the long receiver is closer to the hurdle on the last space as well.
